Composition:

Each 100 gms contains:
1, 6 Dihydroxy 2, 5 dioxyhexane – 11.2 gm
(Chemically bound formaldehyde)
Glutaraldehyde – 5.0 gm
Benzalkonium Chloride – 5.0 gm
Alkyl Urea derivative – 3.0 gm
Base Aqueous – Q.S.

Mechanisms of Action :

Facein^TM Combo Acts on microorganisms by

1,6-dihydroxy-2,5-dioxahexane is a high performance non-oxidising biocide material used efficiently in fungicidal, sporicidal, tuberculocidal and bactericidal activities.
The antimicrobial activity of the biocide is due to the alkylation of hydroxyl, carbonyl and amino groups which affects DNA and RNA and protein synthesis. Strong binding of glutaraldehyde to the outer membrane and inhibition of membrane transport in certain Gram‐negative bacteria, in addition to inhibition of RNA, DNA and protein synthesis are responsible for its profound efficacy against most microbes.
Benzalkonium chloride is positively charged, and hence initiates the antibacterial activity through the deformation of the negatively charged bacterial membrane.
