- Make sure that all remnants of ATYANTA Gingival Retraction Pasteare removed before application of impression material. Aluminium chloride will interfere with the setting of polyether and polyvinyl siloxane impression materials. Remnants of the material may also distort digital imaging or contaminate restorative materials while restoring Class II or Class V preparations.
- Avoid contact with skin, eyes and soft tissues. Wash thoroughly with water after contact.
Precautions:
- Attach the needle to the capsule immediately prior to use. Leaving the needle attached to the capsule will cause hardening the paste inside the needle and it prevents proper delivery of the product.
- Never use excessive force to extrude the paste since it may cause over dispensing of the material. If resistance is felt replace current tip with a new tip and check flow extra orally.
- While dispensing the product into the sulcus make sure that the needle is not introduced too deep since an aggressive invasion of periodontal space or biological width may cause gingival recession.
- Do not leave the material in the sulcus for longer time than it is needed to obtain retraction. Prolonged exposure time to the retraction paste may cause gingival tissue damage.
- Do not leave ATYANTA Gingival Retraction Pastefor longer than 10 minutes.
- Needle tips are single use only to prevent cross-contamination between patients.
- It’s important to remove the paste completely from the sulcus, as residue may inhibit set of impression materials or distort digital imaging.
